I've lived with Panic Disorder for 34 years. After it was finally diagnosed during 1991, I have been on and off various medications. A few have no noticeable adverse side effects, some have horrible side effects.
Everyone responds differently to meds, including side effects. The worst side effect of the med I've been taking for the last 4 years is occasional short term memory loss. For important stuff, taking a few notes helps counteract that issue.

Anyone taking anti-psychotics knows how horrible those meds are, but to them, it's worth not going into psychosis and ending up back in a psychiatric hospital.

My son had ADHD, chronic rage syndrome and numerous other problems. l Drs gave him amytriptaline and Imiprimine but they made him sleepy.
My sister has clinical depression. Didn't do well on Wellbutrin but thrives on Sertraline.
Many people say antidepression causes weight gain but Sertraline doesn't.
