How do I enable my Yahoo ! Answers e -- mail communications ?

Enable your email first.Click your avatar, click edit my preferences, click privacy and communications. scroll down under The Answers Community can contact me:

check via email and or Yahoo messenger click submit.

Then. you could click on their avatar, if they accept ims or emails click on the appropriate one and follow the prompts.

Place your cursor over the "My Activity" tab on the top of the page

From the menu that will appear, select "Edit My Preferences"

Click the "Privacy & Communications" tab

Under "The Answers Community can contact me"

Check the box next to "Via Email"

And click Submit.

You will know your email is enabled when on your Y!A Activity page - click your avatar to go to this page - under your name will be your email address and under that it will say "People may contact you (Your address is hidden)"

Click on your Yahoo Answers profile. There will be a button that says "Edit My Profile." Click on it, scroll down, and there you will see something that says "Let Answers users to contact me via mail." Check mark it, and click preview and submit.
