Is it too late to buy a PS3?

Having a hard time trying to decide considering that the PS4 comes out but I need a system that I can bring to College. On one hand, majority of the exclusives are already available but at the same time, I'm not sure if support for the system will dwindle in the coming months.

Update:

@Jordan: I would get into it if I could but I have no experience with constructing my own PC.

PC Gaming is great and you should highly consider it, but PS3 also has some great exclusives. It's never late to buy one, especially now that the games library has a lot to offer. I wouldn't recommend you to buy the PS4, unless it miraculously coughs up some really good games.

The ps3 is a piece of **** and so is the Xbox. You should start pc gaming. A gaming pc costs 30-50% less if you build it yourself than if you were to buy a pre-built one and it's not that hard. there are more games on pc, they are cheaper on steam, they can have way better graphics and while consoles are becoming more and more outdated you can always upgrade your pc. The ps4 will not be that great either and you can build a decend gaming pc for 600$.

Absolutely not, dont listen to those saying get a ps4. In the first year of its release there will only be like 15 games released, including the ones you dont like. Ps3 has loads of games and for a while ps3 will keep getting games. In the future get the ps4, but not now.
