Have you ever seen a person die?

Can you tell me of the experience (only if you want to of course)?

Update:

@Rain: No, I've never experienced it...My paternal grandparents both passed away when I was too young to recall. But my last grandpa is on the brink of death from cancer, probably has 1-2 more weeks left.....Thanks for wondering though :)

Yes. I saw my step mother's grandmother die when I was 12 years old. She was old. She died in a hospital bed because her lungs were full of fluid.

It wasn't a traumatizing experience. I barely knew this woman. And she had been sick for a long time. It was understood that we were visiting her to be with her during her final hours. My step mother's whole family was there. We were all sitting around her, and she was asleep the whole time we were there. Eventually.. she just kinda slipped away. In retrospect, it was a strange experience, because I was only 12, and had no yet fully grasped the concept of death.

Mortality didn't really dawn on me until I was 17, and one of my best friends died. But that's a different story.

Yes. I watched someone die of a massive heart attack. The facial expression was all telling. Horrific. Eyes wide open, tongue clamped in teeth. Horrible pain, I could tell. I am still not over it and That was several years ago. It takes 7-10 minutes for all the organs to shut down and to be legally dead.

Well... Thank God no one close to me.

One day I was going to have lunch with my friends and I saw a young woman get hit by a car. She flew like... I'm not good at math, but I'd say about 15 feet into the air. I freaked out and even cried. Watching it in fiction movies is not the same as seeing it in real life.

nope only in movies and videos. there's this one on youtube that shows this British comedian dying as he collapsed but everyone thought he was joking so nobody called for help until it was too late

Nope, though I did watch a documentary which showed a man as he slowly died. It was...weird...very weird, very shocking, very in-your-face, and so strikingly different than the fictional deaths you see.

No, only in movies. I've seen a dead person in person though, I just didn't watch them die (It was my father).
