High blood pressure with low resting pulse?
Im nineteen years old, very sedentary, and skinnyfat (low body weight but with high percentage of body fat) 5'9" and i weigh 127lbs, although i have man boobs, protruding gut, etc, so most of my body weight is fat. I havent checked my blood pressure regularly, im buying a home monitor next week, but whenever ive checked at the drs office ive been borderline hypertensive, 142/92 was my last reading.
But i also have a low resting heart rate, usually around 55-60. Im not an athlete, i get virtually no exercise at all actually (i know thats bad, ive just started walking 30 mins a day) my diet is reasonably healthy although i might undereat sometimes. I used to weigh around 180 around a year ago and i dropped to 125-130 over afew months without really trying, burning mostly muscle and leaving alot of fat behind. My weight is stable now but im still skinnyfat.
Im also vitamin d deficient at around 25nmol or something?
but i. A little confused about the low resting heart rate considering my blood pressure is high. Is that a sign of anything that i should watch out for? are pulse rate and blood pressure related? Im definitely not a doctor but wouldnt it make more sense for my heart to speed up to take some of the load off instead of just raising pressure? Thanks for reading hope you can help

If you dropped from 180 to 127 lbs over a period of a few months, then you either starved yourself or something else is going on; eating a normal bur calorie restricted diet is unlikely to lead to this much wieght loss. If your description of body fat is accurate this is also abnormal, suggesting that more than expected of the weight loss is muscle loss.
See an internist for an evaluation. Consider thyroid disease and cortisol excess (Two types), both of which could be associated with mild HT.
As for the heart rate/BP relationship, it is a very complicated one mediated at the brain stem/vagus nerve level and is very unlikely to be of concern.

3 years ago, I was diagnosed - hypertension with a reading of 160/100. I used to feel dizzy a lot, my legs had awful cramps, and levels were very low in my potassium, causing my fingers and toes to always cramp together. It's not as simple as high blood pressure = x heart rate or vice versa. Generally if the blood pressure is really low, the heart needs to go faster. The first sign of shock (where one of the last signs is a massive blood pressure drop) is an increased heart rate. If the heart is fast and blood pressure up, then adrenaline or stress is likely responsible for both.
