Alzheimer's disease information needed?
Now i know that alzheimer's disease affects the central nervous system, the digestive system, and also the neuromuscular system. But why does it affect these systems. Is it the brain which causes problems in the digestive and neuromuscular systems? or what is the main affect. I know that brain tissue is messed up, which effects the central nervous, but what about the other two

Alzheimer's isn't, like most people believe, simply becoming forgetful.
Alzheimer's destroys many of the brain's 100 billion neurons and actually shrinks the brain, slowly over time.
Some of these neurons control other systems in the body, or their functions.
Our brains control /everything/ our bodies do. Even things we don't consciously think about like breathing, or our hearts pumping. When our brains begin to die out, so does our ability to perform functions throughout /all/ systems in our bodies.
