I want to digitalize my movie/music collection?

Ok, so I want to store my dvd's / CD's on some kind of hard drive which I can hook up to my TV/music centre.

I would like it to eventually be operational via remote control if this is possible and for the files to contain art work, synopsis, track listings etc.

I imagine this project will be time consuming, but that's cool, I have the time.

Can this be done? Is it possible? What software/hardware would you suggest? Any good tutorials out there??

Thanks as always

There's this thing called iTunes for CDs which might be a good start if hard drives are involved. Really no way for ripping DVDs (piracy I think, but I'm assuming you have a computer if you have a hard drive, so basically torrenting is the best way to do it without paying for DVD content again).
