What is a waitress salary?

I have a job interview tomorrow at Joe's Crab Shack for a waitress position, if they ask me what my desired salary is what should I say? I don't want to over shoot but I also don't want to say less than what they were willing to give me

Almost all wait staff in America get paid the minimum wage of $2.13 per hour. You could ask for $5 but they simply will not give it to you and they will know you have no experience.

    Good luck!

    No more than $6.

I think $5 is okay- not too much. This website shows the average amounts paid in Joe's Crab Shack

$4.50 according to hour (no longer which consists of counsel) in Fargo, North Dakota. besides the undeniable fact that, on the situation I waitress at, I make $5.50 according to hour until eventually now counsel because of the fact it somewhat is a smaller, close by restaraunt- no longer a chain.
