Why was my answer deleted?

My answer was delted and my appeal turned down. Why??

The question was: 'What happened to Pan Andean?'

My answer: 'Hi Raysor,

We're sorry, but upon review we found that the following answer was indeed in violation of the Yahoo! Answers Community Guidelines:

"Taken over by Petrominerales April 2010 by way of a Scheme of Arrangement (done automatically without you signing for it). So you would have got 15p per share unless you moved addresses and didn't tell them. In which case you will be a dissenting shareholder"

Violation Reason: Chatting / Not a Question or Answer / Incomprehensible'

What idiot at Yahoo decided that reason?

Update:

Good answer, Daniel, but that " Hi Raysor" was Yahoo's reply to me rejecting my appeal! Sorry it was not clear.

Update 2:

* , can you tell me which bit is not comprehensible and exctly how it doesn't answer the question?

    Hi Raysor

Your answer was deleted, in error. The appeal was denied, also in error.

Your answer is clear, easy to understand, and answers the question.

There may be Y!A users, who struggle with reading comprehension, that may not understand, but that does not make your question a violation.

    It is not a violation.

Appeal Denial emails do not always state the correct reason for a violation, which causes confusion.

Of course, in your case, there is NO violation.

Your only recourse is to email the Yahoo Answers Team:

    y_answrs_team_uk@yahoo.co.uk

The missing 'e' is correct. I email UK team, though I'm in US.

The Answers Team is different from Customer Care, which denied your appeal (regardless of how emails are signed).

They are extremely helpful, if you politely ask for assistance.

NOTE: It is not 'Chat' to say "Hi" and use a person's name (I know it was Yahoo, who said "Hi Raysor"- and not you).

It's considered chatting. And it's a violation of the rules. But rules or no rules, yahoo moderators remove things just because they don't like them. The guidelines are a joke. They give yahoo the ability to remove anything they want, for no reason. Of course they're going to create a system to work in their favor. It's all just childish. They all have no lives.

I think a robot decides on the answers. I know I have had answers deleted for "hate speech", which I have never done.

my guess: it was reviewed by some 18-year-old habitual gamer with a quota of 1000 appeals per hour who, drawing from his vast pool of world knowledge, determined that Pan Andean was a person rather than a corporation.

Because your answer is incomprehensible and doesnt answer the question and was reported for same and appeal was upheld.

It is also a violation to insult others, including Yahoo staff, by calling them idiots.

I suspect you will continue to be reported and lose appeals if you dont follow the rules.
