Should I get a new Processor or Graphics Card?

I have a desktop that I want to use for gaming but I get low FPS I have to play on low to mid settings and I'm not sure if it's because of the processor or Graphics Card or both? Here are the specs -

Processor AMD Phenom(tm) 9100e Quad-Core Processor 6.5

Memory (RAM) 8.00 GB 7.1

Graphics AMD Radeon HD 6570 4.7

Gaming graphics 4863 MB Total available graphics memory 6.2

Primary hard disk 517GB Free (596GB Total) 5.9

If it is both the processor and the graphics card which would you recommend to buy first. I have about $1000 to spend and don't want to spend all of it if possible. Also what products would you recommend?

-Thanks

I suggest you to buy a graphic card first. The graphic card I recommend is hd7750.

    reason:

    1. the tdp of your current gpu and hd7750 is almost the same, which is around 60watt. I don't think you need an upgrade power supply also.

    2. it cost about $120 if I am not wrong.

    3. mostly able to perform well on medium setting.

    4. If you are satisfied the fps you get after gpu upgrade, you don't really need to spend money on cpu.

The cheapest way, would be to upgrade the video card and power supply for about $300. That Quad core and the RAM are fine, i suggest getting a 7xxx series video card such as this one for $185 XFX Core Edition FX-785A-CNL4 Radeon HD 7850 2GB and a 650 Watt power supply such as this one. COOLER MASTER GX Series RS650-ACAAD3-US 650Watt for $80 so $265 plus tax/shipping.

For $1k you can get a whole new computer. What I've linked would cost about $500+tax. Depending on the RAM you currently have you might even save some with that.

Just buy a new AMD FX-8350 bulldozer (8 core processors) processor .

    Go ahead.
