Do Americans have the mental fortiude to handle government budget cuts?

Lets forget for a moment whether cuts in spending would be good or bad. Do americans actually have the balls to cut funding to their government? Can they take it psychologically?

    At some point it will not matter. You will expect government money and it will not be there. The riots in the streets will be like Greece. Then they may get it.
