I'd a tan suit acceptable for a man to wear to business meetings?

I'm a 29 /m, traveling to NYC for two days of all day business meeting with a couple of financial data providers that my company purchases services from. I own a Billy London tan suit I bought a year ago that I've never worn. I see many nice tan suits by some of the top designers for sale currently. Is this acceptable or stylish to wear to business meetings?

    I like in New York and -- in the words of Han Solo -- have seen a lot of strange stuff, but for business, I think you're safer with charcoal or blue.
