What if Dirk and Kobe were on the teams that originally drafted them (Bucks and Hornets)?

Kobe would have still become a star, adding talent to an already proven Hornets team. Though he probably would have moved to a contender to compete for a title, he'd still be in the same position today.

Dirk on the other hand, if kept by Milwaukee, probably wouldn't have developed the way he was brought up in Dallas. He'd be a journeyman at best, and probably a mediocre player. When Steve Nash came along was when Dirk became the player he was; I cringe to hold the thought of Dirk with a struggling Bucks team with no point man to guide him.

Agreed with Richard. They both would be ring-less.

Then both would be without a ring.
