Guys do not play " hard-to-get." That is a totally desirable 'n beautiful woman's game... that challenges a guy. Only a woman can play " hard-to-get." And she is usually more mature than a ingenue; she knows all the techniques on how to tantalize a guy and keep him mesmerized. Most guys are more direct and "in your face." Guys can't hold out; girls can and do.
If a guy ever tired to play hard-to-get with me, I'd be stunned, then I'd break out laughing. I usually have an entourage of guys following me, all of them competing with each other for my attention. They are NOT playing "hard-to-get." lol
