What is your opinion on Dentures?
I am 29 years old and got the bad gene for teeth in my family. Not all of them are bad but alot of them are. I am stuck between a rick and a hard spot. On if I should go with a partial set to just replace the ones I loose or pull them all. The Dentist said I am looking at possibly 5 left on top and 5 to 7 left on the bottom. What would you do if you were me. Now keep in mind my good teeth are not in great shape either not stained but very crooked. I would also like the opinion of people who have had theirs done.
Thanks Nikki!! It is a hard thing to deal with my problem is hereditary. My teeth just slowly started to get worse even with regular brushing. I couldn't afford to go to the dentist like I should be and now I have insurance but it's to late most of my teeth aren't fixable

I am so sorry to hear about your teeth, it is a tough pill to swallow when you realize that many of your teeth are going to have to be pulled.
I have been in a very similar situation and for now I have chosen partial dentures. Because of bulimia when I was younger, and addiction more recently, I had to have a total of 6 teeth pulled this year. I am also 29 years old and I actually cried when the dentist said there was no other options.
We are trying to save my other teeth but there is a good chance they'll all have to go, and then I'll get full dentures.
The good news is that I am much, much happier with my denture than I was with my bad teeth. It looks great and very natural, even though I didn't get the most expensive kind.
It felt odd at first and I admit it was hard to pronounce certain words, but I got completely used to it within two weeks. It was not the end of my world like I feared it would be. Eating is really not a problem, although I haven't attempted caramels and that kind of stuff.
Although it can be felt by the partner in a very deep kiss, it isn't a problem and it still feels nice on both sides. To be clear, I can do anything with my mouth that I could before to everyone's satisfaction.
