Should I start making YouTube videos?
So I've been watching YouTube videos forever and I absolutely love the site and I want to start making videos and becoming friends with YouTube stars like Shane Dawson or Michelle Pham or maybe even Bebexo. I think I want to do beauty tutorials since I will start wearing makeup soon but I also want to do something constructive and make a difference, like talking to people about their problems and making new friends, I'm sixteen and I'll be a junior next year...am I too young? Also, I've never uploaded a video on YouTube before and I'm new to this haha. I have an iPad and I recently downloaded iMovie...so should I start a YouTube channel?
I should probably also note that if I'm going to do this, how can I keep this away from my friends and parents? It's not like I'll do anything bad on the site, but my friends will probably laugh at me and my parents wouldn't like me on the site and all. Help?

Well it is very hard to get up there and famous.
Go ahead if you want to, they most likely will not find out, just log out after every time you're done using it.
Look up stuff on how to be a blogger/vlogger/youtuber. Basically, plan what you're going to say, don't stutter, don't say "uh" "um", have a clear voice, be engaging and not boring, and have a good space, good lighting, and a good camera. iPad could work.
You just make a video on your iPad and then go to youtube and click "upload a video" or something like that once you've created an account.
Game Your Video is a really good video editing app, I loovee it. It has a pause button and a whole bunch of effects and stuff you can add.

I have a Youtube channel, and I post a lot of weird stuff, but it's really fun, and I encourage you to try it out! All the same, Youtube is public, and you shouldn't post anything that you think your friends would laugh at, because ANYONE can view your work, and if you want to become big (like Shane Dawson etc.) the best place to start would be to advertise among the people you know, so that you can start getting views. And if your parents wouldn't want you on Youtube, you have to ask yourself why
But it's your choice. Remember that youtube doesn't have to be super-professional. Just have fun! Personality and creativity will be the biggest help if you do decide to create a channel

You do it. You'll learn as you go on. , how can I keep this away from my friends and parents? Then don't even start if your going to worry about what people will say.
