Will parts for a 1984 Mercedes 500 SEL fit a 1983?
I have a 1983 Mercedes 500 SEL and from what I know, the car wasn't even available in North America until 1984. That aside, I'm in need of some parts for it and I've found them for sale online, but I'm just not sure if they'll fit. Should I buy said parts for the 1984 SEL or is there another model from 1983 that has parts that are nearly the same.

Depends on the parts, I looked up a few common parts from a 83 merc, 380 sel and 84 500 sel, same platform and same basic parts (brakes, alternator).
