Can brown sugar be frozen?

Someone gave me several bags of brown sugar,I will not use in up very fast and I would like to keep it.

Can it be frozen? Doe's anyone have the answer?

    Sure, but there is no need to do that. Keep it in the original bags or in any airtight container(plastic or glass, not metal) and it will keep for years. The worst thing that can happen to brown sugar is that it can dry out, but that can be fixed.

    You can freeze it, fridge it, put into airtight canister, any of those will prevent it drying out. Getting hard.
