are cell phones now mandatory ?

I gave my neighbor a computer and provided him with wireless service ,now he cant get a yahoo or google id because he has no cell phone ?? to be polite wtf!!

    no you can, he has to skip the part where it says "enter phone number"

    its actulaly retarded

    Nope you can go to youtube and search: How to bypass google cell phone verification . I do this all the time because I don't want to enter my mobile phone number
