cryogenic containers and liquid oxygen?

why do containers that store liquid oxygen not have a lid?

    The liquid oxygen is about 1,000 times denser than the gaseous oxygen.

    With liquid oxygen being 1,000 times denser, it will stay put in a container the same way a 1,000 pound weight will. Different reasons, same result. So no top needed.
