NYC Travel Plans Ruined?
I'm going to new york city next week from tuesday to saturday via raleigh/durham intl. to lagaurdia intl. and back.I went to new york city for the first time back in febuary of this year when it was freezing cold and I'm 33 years old,new york city is still cleaning up from hurricane sandy I believe and now tropical storm andrea is heading that way ugh,I booked the flight and hotel 2 months ago at the beginning of april and with 5 days left I get this news about tropical storm andrea.Any of you traveling this week or next week to the east coast and concerned?

Manhattan is not still cleaning up from Sandy..at all...it's the boroughs and NJ that are still really suffering.
Tropical storms weaken or change course. It's totally pointless to worry when you really have no idea if it will even touch us. I live in NY and it's clearly not a concern for anyone here--I haven't heard anything about it.

I live in NY and I'm not worried! The waters are pretty chilled up here so even if the tropical storm reaches it will just be some rain and maybe a bit of wind. It's most likely to fall apart once it hits land and head further north.
