How about that old guy from the Spurs?
Parker played great but the big fundamental continued to defy time. Although Parker was the player of the game, I think Duncan is the their most important player.

I'm rooting for the Spurs this series. I usually don't. I'm a Lakers fan so this doesn't happen often. LOL Tim "Mr. Fundamental" is one of the greatest even at his position. I have nothing but good things to say about him. He is not an exciting player for the most part, but he plays the game extremely well. He has been very consistent. He has aver fundamental approach to the game. Therefore you don't see a lot of flashy stuff that gets the crowd excited. While his game has changed because of "father time". It is much harder to notice because of the way that he plays the game.
Great win for a great team and a great coach!
Lakers4life but I love the game and respect greatness even if it is not a Laker.

He's not defying time at all, he's just being single covered by a flawed front-line and Parker's floor dominance, along with respect for their shooters, is getting him open looks. The Heat could shut him down offensively (scoring under 14) if they gave him the same level of defensive attention he got during his prime. The problem is Parker could go for 40 (Cleveland tried that strategy in 07, but Timmy wasn't getting shut down back then), Ginobili would hit 20+ and the combination of Leonard, Green & Bonner would get an easy 40. Because no current team could beat the Spurs with that type of production spread, Timmy gets to eat every now and then. Where Tim is still dominating the game is on the defensive end. Despite his lost mobility and drastic drop in vertical, the dude just flat out gets in position and deters players from attacking the rim at will.
What made Kareem so special is that up until his 2 seasons, if he wasn't doubled he could explode for 35-40 pts. & foul a whole front line out.

It was combination of them, but the most important person is Pop. Pop the strategist will whip them into shape. I mean... also look at those role players like Ginobili, Neal, Green, Blair, etc... Even Bone-r has games now and we thought white guys are softies.

Parker is the best point guard in the NBA, right now. He's better than Chris Paul.

Duncan is taking whatever Jabbar and Karl Malone took in their later years. Sadly, we will never know what magical elixir they took.
