Should wild boar be red when cooked?

I was curious about this when cooking as I have never cooked wild boar before

Wild boar tends to be darker than regular pork, my UK chef mates use farm raised kinds, as chef I to used it here in Canada and Japan, it is a bit earthier than pork, as for colour when cooked I like it medium well just slightly rosy inside, I have braised trotters, shoulders in roast and stew form and they tend when cooked to look like boiled beef, slightly reddish inside. It is due to the slower cooking and the meats juices staying inside longer, no problems though.

Pork isn't red when cooked, so I wouldn't have thought so
