So there is no way I can find my own place to live without a job?
Here is the situation, before anyone says I can't pay I have over $40,000 in my own personal bank account I can access anytime. I do not have a job at the moment because I intend to move, now when I get to where I am moving I can not rent an apartment, get a sublease or find any place to live even with over $40,000 just because I do not have a job?

You can pay all the rent for the lease term up front.
If you have the savings, that will depend on the individual LL.

You are correct. It wouldn't matter how much cash you have in the bank, it could be gone the day after you were granted a mortgage or leased an apartment.
A landlord or mortgage broker needs proof of your ability to pay rent or mortgage payments.
Even if you prepaid the rent for as long as the $40,000 would get you, he still wouldn't rent to you,
because he knows you need money for food, utilities etc, etc.
Move into a hotel/motel until you get a job.Hopefully, you have a credit card.

Not true. All landlords will accept an unemployed tenant who can pay the full year of rent upfront.
rent is 1k a month then write a check for 12k and you have an apartment.

I would Imagine you COULD find a Place to Lease or Rent- if You paid your Landlord "Up front." It would Depend on the Rules & By-Laws of the Place you wanted to move IN-to... :)

If you can show that you have enough money to pay the entire term of the lease, then you may be able to negotiate for an apartment.

false. with just a few exceptions, prepaying a years worth of rent should get you in ANYWHERE.
