Given the recent events in regards to massive data collection...?

Do liberals still really believe that given the chance the federal government WOULDN'T create a national gun registry database even if they promised they wouldn't?

only people with the heads buried in the sand would believe that our govt won't create a national gun list ! That is what the united nations treaty that Obama promised to sign is all about.. But liberals deny everything that Obama does !

RECENT massive data collection, that has been going on for years?

The LAWS allowing this were passed by Congress. If a bill is passed PROHIBITING a gun registry, then that's a different matter, isn't it?

I wish they would. Anyone who owns a gun legally and has no intentions of murder or mayhem would have no logical reason to object to being in a national gun registry database. I own guns, why would I care if it's registered with them?

Yes, but that's because we do not assume that "someone is out to get me!" The government can do a lot of things, and it has in the past, but only people who think "they are coming to take my guns" assume that they would create a gun registry, although I have no objection to them doing that, either.

When you have a background check done, they also want the manufacturers name, type of firearm, model number and serial number. If the check was to simply establish that you can legally buy a firearm, the additional information would not be required. The database already exists, for all firearms purchased after the instant background checks began.

who cares, facts could be looking them in the face and they are still to unorganized to put it together. same with the 9/11 attacks. after it was all over with and they had facts about the hijackers it still took them a long time to put it together. so what makes them think their spying on American's will make it any faster, just gives them more useless things to have to try to sort out. Why don't REAL AMERICANS STOP trying to be so so called political right all the time and stop granting NON AMEWRICAN CITIZENS< the rights to privacy so much, and really crack down, do more racial and ethnic profiling on checking LEGAL STATUS and stop letting so many slide threw the cracks because they are afraid of hurting a ILLEGALS feelings.
