Is there a possibility I could have one of these two? What action should be taken?
Tightening of throat, swollen glands, head aches, high fever, body aches, ear aches, and a rash. (Happens about twice a year and usually lasts only two days.) Going on day four.
Looked up tightening of throat and found Viral pharyngitis and tonsilitis.

You need to see a doctor and get some antibiotics in you. These things can worsen quickly and your fever can run high and be dangerous.
Could be either of the two you mentioned, could be strep throat, could be some sort of viral infection. You really do need to get to the doc. Go to an outpatient place, or to the ER if you can't get in to see the doc.
Take asprin or tylenol for the fever, and soak in a cool bath to lower the fever. Try to drink as much as possible, water or gatorade.
