Sleeping dogs is short and boring, don't bother.

The other 3 are very good games, red dead is an open world game in a western type setting, it pretty much plays similar to grand theft auto games. Hitman is one of the best stealth games and it requires you to think about your positioning, what target to go for next, what tools and weapons to use etc. Far cry 3 which is best of all 3 (was a close one) it's a fps free roam game where you play as a young man trying to find his kidnapped friends, there is so much to do in the game, hunt animals, liberate outposts, climb up radio towers to reveal more land, craft items and syringes, unlock or upgrade guns etc, the story is great, the graphics are amazing and the gameplay is great, but stay away from multiplayer it sucks.

Read dead- Great multiplayer, amazing environment, great side missions.

Bad fighting engine, repetitive after a while.

Hitman - Great physics and graphics, Deep gameplay with tons of replay potential, no online however a multiplayer mode that works well.

Far cry 3 - visually stunning, huge world, great missions and plenty to do outside of this.

However multiplayer is terrible there is no lobby system and its hard to get created maps to work.

Sleeping dogs- fun missions with a great concept, interesting story and keeps you drawn in

However once its over you probably wont want to keep playing it gets old a a little fast, compaired to the others there is no multiplayer at all.

All have good graphics, im not a graphics nut and believe graphics do not make a game good,

I would highly recommend hitman absolution it is an amazing game an an unbelievably good franchise,

The other i would really recommend is far cry, its an experience to say the least and the island you play is is so rich and vibrant.

Honestly I own all these games and all are great so i find it hard to recommend just one but hitman would take it for me.

I'll start my answer in order of the games listed...

Red Dead Redemption - Probably the best story of the 4 games. Hit has realistic Wild West showdowns, easy to use gameplay controls and characters you get attached to instantly. It has the same type of open world like GTA IV did, only without the cars and tall buildings. Multiplayer is also, just as fun! Wasting hours with your friends playing a game of Cap the fort is always a plus side. My only real complaint is, your hands are going to get worked hard. In order for you to actually go places, you need to ride a horse. In order to get there fast, that horse has to gallop. The only way to gallop is to mash the A button, over and over again. So get ice ready after you're done playing.

Hit-Man Absolution - The most fascinating thing about the game is that you are a hit-man! You are a glorified badass! The devs made the game based off that idea, with cool moves, disguise and all sorts of things. Main problem and only con is, it gets repetitive, quick. If you play the game for the first hour, you've played the entire game. Which is a real shame.

Far Cry 3 - Personally, my pick for the game you SHOULD get. It has so many things you can do. Fighting, exploring, collecting, hunting, mini-games, hang gliding. The game is down right beautiful in every aspect! It has kind of the GTA IV style setup again, where you meet up with your NPC buddies, do missions and kill the baddies. What makes it so interesting is, how you kill them! The RPG elements of the game really shine through here and you instantly get lost in the world. Danger is around every corner. A simple stroll through the jungle could instantly turn into a nasty nightmare as you try to escape the deadly Komodo dragons and other dangerous predators that roam the island. Only con is that some of the enemies you'll face will leave you in a rage and you thinking to yourself "HOW DO I KILL HIM!!!!"

Sleeping Dogs - I haven't played this game. I think its just a cheap knock off trying to ride off the success of GTA IV. It's been several years now and gamers fuel tanks need to be filled with a new modern sandbox game that is like GTA IV. Only this time, you're Yakuza. Thats all I really know. The main con of this game is that it did not interest me enough to even buy it when it was on sale.

Hmm, a lot of people don't like Sleeping Dogs it seems, but it is a good quality game. It's a GTA clone perhaps, but it's a vibrant world with a decent story and all of its gameplay mechanics are really solid. If you like GTA style games, you probably will like Sleeping Dogs.

Far Cry 3 is an open world first person shooter filled with collectibles. If you wish to fully complete the game, you will be doing the same thing over and over, but the gunplay and stealthplay are petty well done. The story's not bad as well, but not very deep.

Red Dead Redemption, again, is a GTA-like game set in the wild west. The story is probably the best out of these, and everything about it is pretty solid. The one gripe I had with the game is that, due to its wild west setting, most of the landscape is.. well... wild. Not much goes on as you travel from point A to B.

Hitman Absolution is a completely different game when compared to the rest. I assume you have played the previous hitman. It is more about trial-and-error stealth play where you take out your targets in interesting ways. This time around they've tightened up the gunplay and made changes so that there's less of the aforementioned trial and error.

    To sum it up:

Graphics go to Far Cry 3 or Hitman. Far Cry 3 has a more vibrant open tropical world, Hitman has dark maps filled with attention to detail.

Sound goes to Hitman or Red Dead, but all of these, while all good, aren't exactly the greatest in the sound or music department. I guess it's worthwhile to mention that Red Dead and Far Cry probably have the better voice acting.

Story goes to Red Dead, with Sleeping Dogs following. Out of all of these, Red Dead is the most story-driven game, while Sleeping Dogs' characters are surprisingly interesting.

As for the all-important gameplay, I would pick Far Cry or Hitman. Again, Hitman is very different from the others in that its focus isn't on gunplay. Sleeping Dogs has the best vehicle controls, but Far Cry has really tight gunplay.

Overall I would pick Hitman if you like stealth takedowns, and Far Cry 3 if you like gunplay. If you love driving, though, I would pick Sleeping Dogs, and if you love an open world game with good story, I would pick Red Dead.

Sorry for writing so much and not giving you a definitive answer, but to me they're all good games.

Far Cry 3 is a good open world adventure game which allows you to buy weapons, build maps and drive veichles. Red Dead Redemption is good in terms of Wild Wesdt style games but it can be annoying. Sleeping Dogs is good for fighting and smashing people onto benches with spinebusters, head slams etc... And also if you like sticking people in car boots. I don't know about the last one. The best one out of them is Far Cry 3.
