The Microsoft WINDOWS are analogous to the windows of a house.?

The Microsoft WINDOWS are analogous to the windows of a house.?

Can there be an Operating System named "WALLS" that would be analogous to the walls of a house.

The wall could be connected/related to the Drives ( C: D: or Desktop ... etc) ?????

Update:

In WALLS we could switch from a Drive to another using the mouse, the action would be just like revolving a cube's face.

    I think the analogy is that the windows connect this room to that room conveniently.
