Vocabulary Help, Plz?
in the PSAT, there's a section related to vocabulary. unfortunately, that is kind of like my weakness. how can i memorize vocabulary words easily? I've tried using the vocab words on my practice PSAT book and study them using index cards, but that takes a really long time and i don't like to use that strategy. reading it off the page and trying to remember them that way is hard too: imagine reading all the words off a long dictionary and trying memorizing them. yea, that was what it was like. so help me, please?

I usually try to use them in sentences that I can easily remember.
For example, the word captious means "apt to notice and make much of trivial faults or defects; faultfinding; difficult to please". I know a few $*%& that are like that. So, I then use it over in a related sentence that makes sense and that I'm likely to remember, or for a situation where it might be useful. Like if I got into an argument with that &%*$# someone and they're nitpicking unimportant details, I could call them out for being overly captious.
It also helps to actually practice using the words. So, I get onto sites like this and offer help or comment on places like youtube, anywhere I can practice fudging in naturally those words that I'm trying to remember, it kinda cements their meaning in my mind. It actually goes a long way.
Also, reading a lot helps. You'll find those words again and if you can remember it, you're bound to have cemented it in your mind.
