Stripping laquer from wood?

What's the easiest way to remove a laquer finish? Sanding is kinnda pointless so I have a heat gun, haven't tryed that. Any stripping chemicals? Ideas from experience for quick removal from a wood surface?

You don't state why your are stripping or what you will do later. The heatgun will damage the wood. Why is sanding kinda pointless? There are strippers, Formby's has been around a long time.

Paint stripper is the easiest way. You'll find it in the paint department of your local home improvement store.
