Im over protective of my children?

And when my ex and I split we had a deal, Id get to meet his new partner and he'd get to met mine if they were going to be spending time with the children

He is now refusing to introduce me to his new girlfriend and doesn't care about meeting my boyfriend.

I have issues with having a stranger around my children.

I don't know what to do

or if I'm over thinking the issue

They play outside, climb trees, get dirty, etc.Im just protective of who they are around, always have been.

Update:

We haven't gone to court

There is not court order

We are trying first to do everything as nicely/friendly as possible ourselves

Custody is 50/50

Update 2:

and Im in Australia, not the USA

just in case anyone has any court info theyd like to share :)

    NOT AT ALL!!

I am the same way with my children, you need to know what type of person will be around your children its your right as a mother and if he has an issue with it, maybe deep down he knows you wouldnt approve.

Its not about being over protective its just being protective you dont want or need your children exposed to habbits or things they dont need to have exposure to! Keep it real with him deal was we meet each others significant others if your not ok with that im not ok with you having my kids around her point blank!

No, you are not overprotective, but you may not be able to do anything about it, depending on what the written agreement was which was ordered by a court. I would certainly keep my ears open to what the children have to say when they return.

I think they will be fine. I was like that, but my ex's girlfriend turned out to be a total sweetheart.
