heres a rough estimate of the costs:

    horse - $50-$1,000

board (if its not going to be at your house) - $300-$600 per month

    farrier (every 6-8 weeks) - $50-$120

vet bills -$200 twice a year plis emergemcies

    grain - $20 per bag

    hay - $5 per bale

    bedding - $20 per bag

if it will be kept at your house, there will also be fencing, shelter, ect. you will also need a companion for the pony, preferably another pony. dont forget about other stuff like wheel barrows, pitch forks, dewormer (every three months, about $15), halters ($20), lead ropes ($20), blankets ($70+), and other stuff like that.

    hope this helps (:

I am not certain of exact costs, but just the farrier is very expensive for us. If you are looking at getting a Shetland pony, may I just say that they generally aren't first owners' ponies. They can be very temperamental. Look into different pony breeds to make sure you find one that is suitable because getting a horse and then having to rehome it is stressful for both you and the horse :P Just thought I'd say just in case!

properly that relies upon , first opt for what the objective of your minis will be . If only for relaxing any equine ad web site will do if you're planning on showing , first study what triumphing so a techniques as construct & bloodlines and then what are you able to have sufficient money to purchase , purchase besides bred mares shown / ones which have foaled easily . we've a small herd and characteristic paid as a lot as 3200.00 for a mare and as low as 100 seventy 5.00 for weanling's and yearlings counting on what you're planning to do with them , because a 100 seventy 5.00 mare cant compete with a 3200.00 mare there no longer a similar in extra techniques than i ought to describe . and the ole days of searching a champion by success for 2 hundred.00/ three hundred.00is is like capturing in the darkish .
