Is it healthier to make oatmeal with milk or water?
I have been eating oatmeal for breakfast because its healthy and fulling breakfast. It also a great source of fiber. I am a lacto vegetarian so I do drink milk. I have been making my oatmeal with water. A friend told me it taste better with milk. With offers the best nutritional value.

Because you drink milk, you must think milk is healthy, so I don't see any reason for you not to put it on (or in) your oatmeal. I don't think milk is healthy, so I prefer soy milk, almond milk, or just plain water with my oatmeal.

If drinking milk is OK for you, then do it. But don't boil your oatmeal in milk. Cook the oatmeal in water as directed and put the milk on it after, like with other cereals. And yes, oatmeal with milk has more nutrition by definition. Milk is a second food that you'll be consuming.

Oatmeal made with water is fine. Milk makes creamier [but more caloric] oatmeal. I was raised on oatmeal almost every day when I went to school and I have been very healthy all my life. Drink lots of water, too, it's very good for you. I hope more teens read this and realize they should follow your regimen..eat healthy! Good luck to you, dear.

People use water because of less calories if your not worried about that go with milk it does taste better also can make it with water when your done cooking it add small amount of milk on top

Well the milk will add more calories to it. I would use water, but if you want to try milk do a low fat healthier milk. Hope i helped :) have a good day :)

Milk is better for the added calcium, but if you are lactose it may not be an option for you. You might try soy milk
