I believe it will eventually. The Marijuana laws where made for the wrong reasons. It was more about power of the rich over the poor.
The war on drugs is a waste of time and money. Especially with Marijuana.
Will it become legal in my lifetime I doubt it. Too many government workers, cops and companies benefit from it being illegal. They will fight to the end to keep laws the way they are now. The feds arent coming down on States now, but they like having the law in there back pockets in case they want to come in and shut doctors and shops down

I believe as the older generation dies off, the answer would be yes. But what is really holding this back is not public opinion but the alcohol, tobacco, prison, justice system lobbies in congress. Keeping marijuana illegal is a big money making industry for those groups.

Thing is, the corporate elite fight it. Paper, fiber, oil industries don’t want it legal because the production of hemp would compete with them, maybe even put ‘em out of business. This is WHY it was criminalized IN THE FIRST PLACE.
It’s an organic plant that, unlike Tylenol, Advil, even caffeine, has not killed a person. Can’t say that about any prescription drug or even over the counter cold medicine.
