No, when confronted with it, Liberals just refuse to acknowledge that Obama is doing the same things Bush was, then they try to redirect the conversation.

Source(s): A Libertarian opposed to Bush's and Obama's National Security policies.

Bush started a war in Iraq based in large part on an outright lie. Obama ended it. (If you think spinning the Benghazi attacks for a few hours even slightly compares to launching a war on what Bush knew was a lie, you've lost touch with reality.)

Bush made some incremental improvements to healthcare. Obama gave healthcare a badly needed overhaul.

Bush crashed the economy. Obama built it back up.

Yes, the NSA continued the spying that was authorized by Congress before Obama took office. That isn't Obama following all of Bush's policies.

Obama did keep the IRS manager appointed by Bush. That may have been a mistake.

You've passed along your GOP spin-doctored script-du-jour, little neocon wannabe...the lie that nation-destroying GW Bush's always-fail Republican policies---supply-side/top-heavy economics; illegal war in Ira; tax cuts for the wealthiest few; two wars not paid for that exploded the deficit; allowing the 9/11 attack to occur as "an excuse the public would buy" to ILLEGALLY invade a sleeping Iraq; assault on union rights, civil rights, women's rights, on gay rights, on voting rights; outsourcing into oblivion our nation's manufacturing jobs base; keeping war costs and not-paid-for (unfunded) mandates OFF THE BOOKS to paint the economy prettier than was true; corporate collusion; bypassing the FISA Court to do warrantless wiretapping (President Obama goes through both the FISA Court and the more secretive Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court to get lawful subpoenas and warrants); breakdown between the Constitutional guarantee for Separation of Church and State (read Goldberg, 2006, "Kingdom Coming" and Sharlet's 2008 "The Family"); and the list of the lawless Bush/Cheney administration's evils and incompetencies goes on...and on...NONE of which are being done by the Obama/Biden administration.

You have been misinformed or you are seeking to distort and bend realities to misinform the general public. Either way...you are wrong.

No. Why did republicans give Bush a 75% approval rating in 2008, but can't stand Obama doing the exact same things Bush did? Liberals have been vocal about their opposition to right wing policies for more than a decade, and have opposed the patriot act and NSA spying under both Obama and Bush.....while republicans cheered it under Bush, only to have selective outrage about their own program under Obama. Why the change?

i assume the speech through ability of former Democratic Senator Artur Davis somewhat usually summed it up. whilst there are some upset Democrats, they'll in simple terms shop place of living whether than vote for greater of the comparable. Obama could no longer rouse his balloting base as he did in 2008 as they don't be attentive to which Obama needs the 2nd term - the lofty rhetoric guy or the guy who close Republicans out for the huge-unfold 2 years of his term.

  • They don't like him but they need him. Liberals are like 18 year olds who think they are adults when it comes to the privilege, but not the responsibility and Republicans are the father figure that tells them they either need to get a job or get out. Dad is a jerk but he has money. Case in point, liberals hate conservatives but Obama has relied heavily on blaming Bush or some hillbilly for a YouTube.

I am as always filled with disappointment at the Conservative desire to justify their positions against rational leadership by equating them with their own IRRATIONAL sort.

Not only is this just a fanciful, grossfully wrong misstatement of the facts, but it so lacking in understanding that it doesn't even lend itself to any sensible discourse.

The only enlightenment to be gained, besides that supplied by the brilliant scholarship of 'ARMCHAIR GODDESS' is the realization that such worthless portrayals of reality are very short lived and only then in the putrid petri dish of American Conservative thought.

They are in denial that Obama is Bush on steroids. Being independent, I didn't care for Bush, but I really don't care for Obama.

    No.

I used to really like Obama but after finding about the NSA I feel betrayed by him. :(

    Nice try.

Even the NSA thing is not exactly the same.

And most everything else, Obama got away with when he had the chance.

    ---Ended Iraq.

    ---Ended illegal torture program.

    ---Ended DADT

---Food Safety, which GW did not do.

---Re-regulated Wall Street...even though Repubs stall its implementation.

    ---HIGHER fuel efficiency standards.

---Does not favor tax cuts for the rich or corporate giveaways.

---Does not favor tax incentives to ship jobs overseas.

    ---Does not steal elections.

    ---Can pronounce ‘nuclear.’

    ---Isn’t a war criminal.

There is almost nothing alike between the two men.
