98 explorer, need help identifying this part.?
V-6 SOHC. A lightweight metal tube runs from the air intake hose, behind the thermostat to the other side of the engine. On the other end is a flexible rubber "Y" fitting, connected to what I think is the EGR valve and another metal tube headed towards the firewall.
I accidently tore that rubber Y while removing the thermostat housing. Parts store doesn't have it, I can't find it online, don't know what to call it.
Good suggestion, the parts store guy suggested it too but there's just not enough space in there for a T. Might have to make it work anyway......

It's surely a standard size so you don't have to order it by part#
Measure the outside diameter of the tube (parts store should have a micrometer you can use) and look for the rubber piece generically, using its dimensions. Would a T suffice? (T's are more common than Y's.) Maybe there's something suitable in this assortment: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/accessories/Dorma... (Man I cannot believe how much they want for some of these parts, but this assortment is pretty reasonable at 9$.)
