What is it like living in WA state?
Currently I live in a kind of small southern town. People here for the most part aren't accepting of outsiders (I lived in Denver before). Most people here are typical ignorant, bigots who are also very judgemental which I wasn't used to after living in Denver area. Thankfully, my family and I are moving to Washington State in the next months. What is it like living in WA and also what are the people like? We are particularly looking at the Columbia River area - (Vancouver,Camas Washougal). Thank you.

It does make difference which town or city you pick. For the most part western WA is liberal as apposed to the eastern WA, very republican. Yes small towns can be not accepting of the new comers and bigoted. Seattle area is lovely and easy to move in to,

I'd suggest checking the opinions of people on City Data for the specific area you are moving to. WA isn't right for everyone, just as living in small Southern towns. Adding the link so you can ask people who live in the area, can tell you the good and bad.

A little piece of heaven. You can't beat the natural beauty. People are a little more liberal minded. Don't forget your raincoat or umbrella.
