Electronic refuse. Is it worth it?
With the deposits of the toxic metals used in the manufacture of electronic components occurring naturally world wide, will it really make any difference if a few million people throw their old TVs into landfill? Or is it al just another scam for big business to make money out of the ever more gullible public who believe that we are all doomed by our own hand

The object of the exercise is mainly to reduce the amount of stuff we send to landfill. We're running out of holes in the ground to dump the stuff. The materials used in electronics originally came out of the ground anyway. However, recycling them makes more sense than digging up some more (although that would give us more holes for our landfill).

The Earth is toxic. These metals aren't imported from the planet Saturn. Most of the planet is toxic. To make believe we are making it so is nice fantasy but not any type of reality.
