Why are those annoying and usually inapprolpriate ads popping up in Yahoo answers?
They have suddenly appeared and are quite off-putting. They usually advertise something non-existent.

The were added by Yahoo to make money, so they could keep YA open and free. Yahoo is closing down properties that do not make money and YA is on the chopping block. If the ads bother you download an adblocker to get rid of them.

Within the page or popups? You might have some adware. Go to download.com and get Malwarebytes. It's free and will remove viruses and adware etc. Update it before you run it.
