So did you know this about you Cubbies?

Did you know that the Chicago Blackhawks are in fact the Chicago Cubs, despised as hockey players? Finally, a team that Chicago can root for! However, this doesn't solve your baseball problems. Maybe your boys should quit hittin' the ice so much and get back to the diamond.

BQ to Chitown fans- does having an extremely successful hockey team wash away the 105 years of heartbreak?

BQQ- When Chicago blows it to Boston in the Stanley Cup, will Steve Bartman be blamed?

Update:

*Your Cubbies. Please excuse my typo in the title.

Update 2:

Robin- If this is indeed true, then maybe they need to be considered...

Update 3:

Excuse my intelligence level, I did indeed mean "disguised" as players.

Update 4:

Nick- the difference between the Hawks and the Cubs is the fact that the Hawks can actually win a game.

No. But did you know that the Blackhawks have played a game in Wrigley Field and were neither despised or disguised as hockey players? Cubs have never played a game in the United Center or even the old Chicago Stadium.

BQ - No. Chicago has had many extremely successful teams besides the Blackhawks > Bulls, Bears, White Sox

BQQ- No. Steve Bartman was wrongly blamed when Cubs were in NLCS - not World Series.

  • That is false.

BQ: What 105 years of heartbreak? I saw my team win it all in 2005.

BQQ: If the Hawks lose to the Bruins then they lost to a great team, the Bruins are the best team the Hawks have played all season. Steve Bartman has nothing to do with any of this.

You have no clue if you think the Hawks are the same as the Cubs though.

If they truly are, as you so eloquently state, "despised as hockey players", why would they be a team Chicago can root for?
