Memory Card Won't Delete?
I'm going on a trip tomorrow and would like to take loads of films and photos. My memory card is completely full but there are still files from months ago where the picture or motion image cannot not be displayed and it won't allow me to delete it. Please help. I have a 16GB Sandisk HD extreme and an iMac. It's happened before but the time before it was only with two pictures and they disappeared one day, how can I make this happen again?
Thanks

First backup all your pictures and stuff.
Format the card in the camera.
If that did not work format the card via a computer.
If your card still has problems get a new card.
They are so cheap it is not really a big deal.
Do not get the biggest card you can.
The cards like 32gb and stuff are not that stable.
Try to get a card between 8-16GB.
That will be more reliable.
Have fun! :)

Options are
to buy a new memory card
download all the photos and videos to your computer and reformat the existing card in the camera.
It can be better to have separate cards for video and photos.
Note that any memory card is NOT a good place to store photos. Memory cards can and do fail and it's not always possible to recover them. Deleting files using the camera or computer can mess up the file allocation and cause problems with being able to access other images.

Back up your photos to your laptop/computer. Then format the card in the camera. How many times have you formatted your card in your camera? If never or once then that is your problem.
