Which series is better? Divergent or the Hunger Games?

I read The Hunger Games first. I loved it ... until I got to the last book. I'll be honest, that last book just ticked me off. I hated it! It felt like the story just took a bad turn and it made me not like the series as much as a whole.

Now, Divergent ... my goodness. It made me dislike The Hunger Games even more. Divergent made The Hunger Games look like it was written for really young kids (that's obviously not the case because of the killing in it) but that's how it made me feel. I ADORE the Divergent series. There is just a lot more depth to the plot, characters and everything else.

That being said ... I kinda don't agree with everyone when they say that Divergent is the next Hunger Games because other than the fact that they are both based on dystopian societies, they are really nothing alike. They are both YA books, so they both have young characters but that is really where the similarities end.

The best thing is to read both of the series and see which one you like the best, everyone's taste is completely different and while I wish I could will everyone to love Divergent as much as I do, that just won't happen. But it is better. By a lot. SIDE WITH ME!!! Lol.

I hope that you do get a chance to read both series because they are both really remarkable in their own ways!

I felt Hunger Games felt realistic. I could not get into Divergent.

THG sucks,especially the movie!

I don't know I like both honestly but I'm kinda iffy about the Divergent movie....and Catching Fire. Oh hell I don't know.
