Where to find programming exercises?

I want to be a game developer so I study a basic programming. Recently, I've found out that 3D game development requires more math than I expected. I'm going to take algebra soon but I need a bunch of programming exercises to maintain what I've learned in programming.

Regular exercises are a good idea, and you can get basic ones in any text book on the language you are using. You can find some by googling for them.

There is also a site called Code Kata:

    http://codekata.pragprog.com/

That has some interesting exercises that will make you think.

However I think that it would be best to come up with ideas and make those happen. If you want to do game programming start here:

    http://www.gamedev.net/page/index.html

And make as many games as you can. Also work on creating tools for game development, as that's one of the "tricker" jobs and will keep you on your toes, so kick back and build yourself a level editor.

    Good Luck!

  • Keep design games. I learned programming thru developing real projects. Only exercises wont be enough
