Basically, mushroomhead was a local band around Cleveland for a while. But they had this gimmick; they had a large band that all wore masks on stage and played heavy metal. Mushroomhead started to get big, (never as big as slipknot) when all of a sudden this band named Slipknot became popular, who had a large band that all wore masks on stage and played heavy metal. Mushroomhead kind of felt like they were the original slipknot and deserved slipknot's success.

Slipknot is so much better,cooler,awesomer,wilder, won for best live band(extremely true, they are so awesome live), won for best vocalist, awesome costumes,awesome music and guess what else?
