Bamboo Tablet Pen not working?

I've had a Wacom Bamboo Tablet for a couple of years now, and the pen isn't working anymore. It just happened today and I just used my tablet yesterday.

I washed it yesterday thought because I got something sticky on it, could that be the reason why it doesn't work?

Should I re-install Bamboo Preference? I need help! D:

meh, I was going to suggest all the things you've already done... It sounds dead to me :/ I've been having a bad year with Wacom as mine stopped working for different reasons. I wouldn't bother trying to contact Wacom about it 'cause from what I can see from other user's experiences at forums and my own, they'll just have you buy another pen just as expensive or more as the tablet itself... I'd say keep trying stuff but you might want to consider buying another tablet, unless it's still in the 2 year guarantee and you can get some sort of exchange or something. Ask at the store... If time passes and you come to the conclusion you're gonna get another one, try knocking it nib down, against a hard surface. If it's an issue of lack of contact with the sensor that should do it. And if you're at your last resort no harm done in beating the sh*t out of it lol Sorry I couldn't help more :P

How did you wash it? Did you immerse it in water? the pen has little electrical components inside.
