Let's talk Golden Boy vs Top Rank?

First of all, before anything, kinda shocking how we've only had 1 PPV so far right? Last two years we 2 PPV's if I'm not mistaken by this time(maybe more). Shocking or just a lack of PPV fame fighters?

Now, this year has definitely been Golden Boy Victory both financially and quality wise. Top Rank has given good fights, that's for sure but, at least me personally, fights like Lara-Angulo, Canelo-Trout, Garcia-Judah, etc... have succesfully robbed Top Rank of the spot-light.

Now we go with the main thing. Do you think that the combination of Pacquiao-Rios-Marquez-Bradley is enough to steal the show(at least financially) from Mayweather-Canelo? Or is this fight just too much? The PPV numbers of ONE fight will obviously pale in comparison to Mayweather-Canelo but perhaps if it's two-on-one, maybe Top Rank can get a small victory, financially wise...

What do you think about all this? Is it possible for next year to be a Top Rank year or will Bob Arum need to start promoting whatever lesser fighters he has and get them to star level?

I think Top Rank's two fights featuring Pacquiao and Rios and Bradley and Marquez combined will outsell the Mayweather-Alvarez starrer but not necessarily steal the thunder as far as impact is concerned.

Now as to Top Rank outdoing Golden Boy next year and the years to come, it depends on how well it can match up well with GBP in putting up fights per division:

GBP has Wilder and Seth Mitchell at heavyweights, TR has Andy Ruiz (who?)

GBP has no cruiser, TR has Tommy Zbikowski ( another who?)

GBP has Bernard Hopkins at light heavy,TR has Sean Monaghan and Mike Lee ( who?)

GBP has Marco Antonio Periban, TR has Kelly Pavlik ( is he still around?)

GBP has Peter Quillin at middleweight, TR has Julio Cesar Chavez Jr,

GBP has Floyd and Canelo, Lara, Brundage, Angulo and Kirkland at super welter, TR has just Vanes Martirosyan

GBP has Floyd, Robert Guerrero, Adrien Broner,Paulie Malignaggi, Devon Alexander, Marcos Maidana and Keith Thurman at welterweight, TR has Pacquiao. Marquez and Bradley,

GBP has Danny Garcia, Lucas Matthysse, Amir Khan, Lamont Peterson at junior welterweight, TR has Mike Alvarado, Brandon Rios and Khabib Allakhaverdiev (who?)

GBP has Broner, Sharif Bogere and Luis Ramos at lightweights, TR has none

GBP has Vicente Escobedo,at junior lightweight TR has Rocky Martinez and Diego Magdaleno

GBP has Chris John, Gary Russell and Abner Mares at featherweight, TR has Mikey Garcia and Orlando Salido.

These weight classes matter in the USA.

    Go figure.
