Yes, Agreed.

Money turns things into product. Then to sell that product--never mind whether it's culture or crap--the Money People end up pitching it to a _demographic_, or a piece of the population. They make it "for" an audience and often that audience ONLY.

You can't really get away with that, long term. It's not just that people don't like being excluded (or pandered to) by creepy old rich men. It's that _too much meddling_ by clueless outsiders who ONLY exist to make money ends up making it all _really crappy_.

Seriously. EVERY good TV show that's ever existed has been ruined this way. Yes, all of them.

Agree. Look at today's music

It can if people all compete and do the same things that are in popular demand or devote all their waking hours to working and none to family if all they do is try to sell and not act sincerely. if they instead of being friends are only thinking of competing with others even family.

Disagree....... people pull away from culture and thats what kills it.....

It has ruined a lot of music artists and TV shows. So yes!
