Russia is the most homophobic country in the world?

Never heard if Russia is homophobic county,but homophobic ppl are all over in the world in every country.

It's one of the most homophobic in the "developed world" (though I'm not sure I would call Russia developed) but there are still countries where homosexuality is illegal and punishable by death.

No. Russia is the country the West mistakenly thinks it can and ought to influence. Hence the particular attention to homophobia, among other things, when it's in Russia. Hence also the somewhat knee-jerk reaction of Russian authorities. They might overdo it but frankly, there's no reason they shouldn't stand up to the Western meddling.

One of them, certainly. But Iran hangs people for being gay, Uganda also has a death penalty.. I expect there are other backwards countries. But Russia is bad enough for a country that calls itself 'developed.' Tschaikovsky, Diahlgelev, Nijinsky... some of Russia's finest artists were gay. Repressing them is barbaric.

Not even close. There are countries that are much worse, but they are limited to Africa and the Arab world.

nope, it falls in second place behind China, which still sends homosexual " sex criminals" to labor camps and harvests them for their organs

and amusingly enough, while the activists here snivel about the " religious right" "oppressing" them by denying them the redefinition of marriage

China and Russia are officially atheist religions and Darwinian in their outlook

and they fare a lot worse there than in " Christian" countries.
