I'm 5'11 , not tall enough to be considered "Tall"?

I'm around 5'10-5'11 and I've been called tall by so many people from the same country of origin. I was born in the Middle-East and grew up in Canada since age 2. People in North-America tend to be tall, and I always thought to use height as a key point of advantage and confidence growing up. My mom always used to say, you're going to be so tall, you're gonna be taller than your dad by 3inches just like my brothers. I was 5'9 at 14, thinking man, I'm gonna be atleast 6'1. Turns out, I'm turning 18 next month and haven't grown one bit since age 15 and half. I don't know if any girl would find my height attractive, infact I'm not sure how to attract girls anymore.
