Is Puking After Getting Wisdom Teeth Taken Out Normal?

Okay, So I had my wisdom teeth taken out today & like right after I woke up I started puking my guts out, & I've been puking a lot today & I already feel like I'm gonna get sick again.

Everyone I know who already got there's taken out said they never felted sick, so its kinda freaking me out a little bit.

Also this is kinda really dumb but how can you tell if you have stitches in your mouth cause my dentist never told me there's stitches in mine, & I know somethings they don't do stitches.

& do y'all have any tips on making my self feel less nauseous

Thanks for answering!!

I've had oral surgery twice, and I threw up after one of the surgeries. I personally know other people that have thrown up. I remember waking up afterwards and being like, "I have to puke" and the nurse person (what are they called??) had said, "that's normal" but she never gave me a bucket to puke in, so I puked on myself.

ANYWAY. You are throwing up probably because of the anesthesia. Some people will have different reactions too it, kinda like alcohol in a sense. If you are still puking tomorrow, I would get seen. The anesthesia should be out of your system by then.

As far as the stitches go, I thought most dentists use the ones that fade away into your gums, so you probably cannot feel them. I never felt mine. And you probably have stitches. I'm sure your dentist warned you about a dry socket and not to drink out of a straw or smoke, right? You can always call and ask them too! :)

Is there any way you can get some anti-neasea medication? Some 7-UP or sprite might help as well. Have you tried crackers?

    Good luck!
